“Ms. Gallivan has a rare combination of litigation chops and a huge heart.” For Amanda, this five-star review by a fellow attorney precisely describes her passion; helping reasonable clients through difficult circumstances and being an advocate in the courtroom when needed.  With a background of trying many jury trials to verdict as a former prosecutor, Amanda’s litigation experience now combined with years of experience focusing her practice on family law issues of divorce, separation, custody, visitation and support issues, proves to bring valuable insight and tools to her clients - whether working towards a settlement or taking their contested issues to trial.

Amanda graduated from the University of South Carolina with a B.S. in Business Administration and went on to receive her Juris Doctor from the University of South Carolina School of Law. After law school, Amanda served as a Law Clerk to the Honorable Roger L. Couch in the Seventh Circuit before becoming a prosecutor of general crimes and gang related cases, furthering her passion for the courtroom.

As a founder of Christophillis & Gallivan, P.A., Amanda has helped the firm and their attorneys focus their practice almost exclusively on family law issues. Amanda has handled numerous divorce and custody cases with complex issues such as business ownership and valuations, stock option and retirement benefits allocation, contribution claims in equitable division, calculations of alimony and child support, grandparents and psychological parent issues, and other complex custody arrangements. Amanda prides herself on communicating and partnering with her clients at each stage of the process, so that as a team, they work to achieve the best results possible.

Amanda has completed training and served as a Guardian ad Litem and understands how important that role can be in a custody action. Amanda and her husband Henry live in Greenville and have three children.
