Ashley Bagwell, Partner

Ashley M. Bagwell is a Partner at Christophillis & Gallivan, where she concentrates her practice primarily in family law. Since joining the firm in 2019, Ashley has distinguished herself as an effective advocate and trusted counselor, advising clients through some of the most complex and personal legal matters they face.

Her family law practice encompasses all aspects of domestic litigation, including separation, divorce, child custody and visitation, adoption, alimony, child support, and determination and equitable division of marital assets. Ashley is recognized for her ability to navigate high-conflict matters while remaining focused on achieving efficient, results-driven resolutions while keeping the unique needs and goals of each client in mind. She approaches each case with a thoughtful balance of negotiation and litigation strategy, ensuring her clients are well-positioned whether in settlement discussions or in the courtroom.

In addition to her family law practice, Ashley advises clients in simple estate planning matters, helping individuals and families protect their assets and plan for the future with clarity and confidence.

Ashley’s professional accomplishments have earned recognition from her peers and the broader legal community. She has been named a Super Lawyers Rising Star from 2023 through 2026 and was selected for Legal Elite in 2024.

Ashley earned her Juris Doctor from the University of South Carolina School of Law. Prior to her legal career, she was a Division I student-athlete, an experience that continues to shape her discipline, work ethic, and competitive approach to advocacy.

A native of the Upstate, Ashley is proud to serve the community she calls home. She is a graduate of Mauldin High School, where she remains the only female athlete in the school’s history to have her jersey retired. Outside of her practice, Ashley enjoys traveling and spending time with her family.
