Jessica Christophillis, Partner

For Jessica, her passion is in the numbers. With an accounting background and Master of Law in Taxation, Jessica provides a unique skill set to support her family law clients. Helping clients make sense of their financial picture- whether in a divorce or custody case, is the way to help them start planning for their future. 

Jessica graduated from the University of South Carolina with a B.S. in Accounting and went on to receive her Juris Doctor from the University of South Carolina School of Law. After law school, Jessica attended the Northwestern Pritzker School of Law in Chicago where she graduated with a Master of Law in Taxation. 

Since Christophillis & Gallivan’s beginning, Jessica has focused her practice primarily on family law. Jessica’s clients often face complex issues when going through their divorce or custody case- such as business ownership issues, calculations of alimony and child support, retirement account allocation, and difficult issues such as transmutation of assets. Jessica is ready for each step of her client’s case by assisting them with their initial questions through the final stage of their case-whether that is a settlement agreement or a complex trial. 

Jessica is a graduate of the Houston Family Law Trial Institute at the South Texas College of Law, a certified South Carolina family court mediator, and a published author of her article for the SC Lawyer Magazine “What to Expect When Expecting Marital Litigation”
